Study Botany: Research on patterned species
The photos are from the series 'Study Botany'. 'Study Botany' shows the way how Pionara studies plants visually and I'm deeply studying species that have certain patterns on their leaves, petals, and seeds. In this series, a particular pattern on plants fills the screen, extending out of the plant, which allows the viewer to notice the beautiful or bizarre pattern of a certain plant that was easily missed.

Every image is photography taken over the background painted or selected to match each pattern. Though I do some photoshop delicately, these are basically one-shot photographs, not composite pictures.
